Irum's passion for storytelling is rooted in a desire to raise awareness of societal and cultural injustices in light of combating them. She has worked as a journalist for newspapers and magazines across Metro Detroit, studied at Michigan State University and traveled abroad for photojournalism and documentary mini-series projects. Her work has been widely received, earning her awards and distinguished opportunities to showcase her learned skills. She is currently in the advertising industry working as a copywriter, while she continues to pursue her passion for writing and photography.
